So murmured the Chain of Heaven, for one reason or another.
A monster they had fought once.
A monster that had been a friend, up until they fought.
Surpassing anyone on earth --- surpassing even the Chain of Heaven,
A sharp-clawed, fearsome monster.
But there had been flowers upon its head.
A flower the Chain of Heaven had once planted in the cedar forest.
A small, pale flower.
A flower garden that bent the rules of the earth,
for the sake of the monster that bore that girl's heart.
"It is because it is such an ornament, a single bunch of flowers, that it brought joy to a pure heart."
So saying, the man who stood beside the Chain of Heaven returned to the city.
Leaving a second crown upon the earth, a gift for a friend.
